Anita White Art
‘My favourite thing is to paint people when they’re preoccupied. It’s as if I’m with them, feeling what they’re experiencing.’
Recent work
Anita usually paints on timber boards or linen, depending on the subject. Her preferred medium is oil on linen, the more textured the better. Her paintings are stylised, with strong contrasts: between light and dark, bright colours and neutrals. And while she does paint landscapes and local scenes, they’re usually backdrops for what people are up to.
